Increasing response to immunotherapy through diet-based alterations of the microbiome: a mouse validation study

Goal: This proposal will bridge the ongoing BE WELL trial to cancer ICI response in preclinical models. Specifically, we will determine whether the microbiome shifts elicited by BRB in the clinical study affect response ICIs in a mouse model of lung cancer. We will also use metagenomics and metabolomics to evaluate the mechanism by which the foods lead to microbial community changes.
